Hey there! I’m Lori Porter.
I’m a registered dietitian (RDN), yoga teacher (RYT), and I even have an EdD under my belt. Welcome to HeartSmart Nutrition and Yoga, where my passion for nutrition, heart health, yoga, and education all come together.
I’m all about helping women make smart, healthy choices for aging gracefully. With heart disease running in my family, I know how crucial it is to take control of what we can. Through heart-smart nutrition and yoga, we can tackle heart disease risks—a major concern for women, especially after menopause—and boost long-term health.
With over 35 years as an RDN, I’ve learned that food is way more than just fuel. It’s about building sustainable, healthy habits that fit into your life, without the stress of strict rules. My approach is easy-going—focusing on lifestyle, culture, and your unique preferences.
Back in 2015, I discovered my love for yoga and completed my teacher training in 2016 with LifeTime LifePower Yoga (RYT 200). I took it further in 2021 with advanced training at Edge Yoga School (RYT 500).
I’m based in Bolingbrook, IL, just a quick drive from Chicago.
